Spencer’s journey didn’t begin with junk removal, started in the U.S. Navy, where he served as a Seabee for eight years. Those years instilled values like precision, grit, and a “get it done right the first time” mentality. He learned that success isn’t just about hard work, it’s about showing up prepared. Ask anyone who knows him, and they’ll tell you: Spencer is always early (his team jokingly calls it “military time”).
After returning from Rota, Spain, Spencer moved to Washington around the same time his sister’s family relocated from Ohio for her husband’s new job. His parents, who were still in Ohio, also wanted to be closer to the family. Spencer’s dad, Paul Bouchard, had worked as a master machinist for over 30 years, but struggled to find work locally in WA. A friend of Spencer’s floated the idea of starting a business, and that idea stuck. Spencer shared the vision with his parents, and 1.5 years later, they packed up and made the move. What began as a family conversation turned into a family business.
Together, they launched Bouchard Hauling & Removal, and hundreds of jobs later, the mission continues to grow.
